What Are Digital Dental X-rays?
Digital dental x-rays, also known as digital dental radiographs, are administered during an annual dental exam to provide a more thorough picture of your teeth and gums. Dental x-rays make it easier for our dental team to diagnose problems that aren’t easily visible and to understand more about the health of the interior of your teeth, gums, and jawbone. Many oral health conditions can be diagnosed with digital dental x-rays, such as tooth decay, cavities, cysts, abscesses, bone loss, and tooth impaction. These issues can be treated efficiently with more treatment options when they are found in the early stages. During your dental exam at Kissable Dental in Dallas, TX, digital dental imagining will help our dentists accurately diagnose and treat oral health issues.
What to Expect with Digital Dental X-rays
Typically performed at the beginning of a dental cleaning or exam, digital dental imaging takes about 5 – 10 minutes to complete. Most patients will get a series of dental x-rays to show all areas of the mouth. Once they are taken, the images are uploaded and can be viewed by you and our dentist during your appointment. Our team will be able to assess if there are any areas of concern and discuss treatment options.

I switched dentists due to changing insurance providers, and I appreciate how close to home this location is. I also had an opportunity to interact with several of the staff members—they are all incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient. This was my first time to Kissable dental. A family member referred me. The experience was great! Booking an appointment was easily done through their website. I was able to communication via text to send my insurance card info. Once there, everyone was friendly! They explained the procedures thoroughly before starting. I needed a couple of fillings and some plaque removal. It took a little bit to get used to the contraption they put in my mouth…a tongue guard. The massaging chairs and the sunglasses helped to calm me down…I get nervous when there’s a drill in my mouth. I was done in an hour, cavities taken care of…plaque gone and next appointment has been set. If you have any hesitations about going to your dentist, ditch them and come here! This has to be one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had at a dentist. I was expecting some pain from my past experiences but to my surprise it was a wonderful feeling getting out of the chair without my blood pressure being raised lol. I had a good experience here for my first cleaning. Everyone was friendly and did good work. They have a referral program where you can get points to apply toward other procedures if needed, which I thought was helpful. There’s also an option to leave a Google review and they’ll waive the copay for the time being. I waited to leave a review so I could be sure the work was solid and would last. It’s been a few weeks and my teeth still feel clean. I would recommend anyone try them out!
